12/7/2023 0 Comments Age rewind foundation maybellineThe only downside to the eraser treatment is that it doesn’t have any SPF in it so my darkspots flare up with sunscreen under or on top of it. If you find it doesn’t cover enough for you then try dabbing a little of Loreals Bare natural gentle mineral concealer just on the spots. People aren’t used to that feeling so they confuse it with an oily feeling. When I worked for The Body Shop years ago we had a product called “Vitamin C serum”, it felt absolutely amazing because it was kind of a powdery silky feeling. I think this oily feeling people are describing is actually being confused with a kind of silicon feel to it. I now have no acne but do have brown spots from all my pregnancies and this foundation (eraser treatment) covers them completely without feeling like I’ve put paste all over my face. I have gone through foundation after foundation and have always ended up going back to my Rimmel, til now. I am 34 and I have large pores, oily skin and before starting my Yaz 2 years ago have had acne since I was in 6th grade. I bought this about a week ago and have fallen in complete love with it. Take that into consideration if you test with the Foundation samples! This Eraser Treatment is better for me, although it does go on a little lighter color than the Foundation tester of same name indicates. Note: I did not like the Foundation formula (not enough coverage, shades are slightly different). Strongly recommend: bring a mirror with you to testers, and TRY THEM ON YOUR FACE (bring Q-Tips if you want) - I ended up with shade I would never have selected without doing this. Plastic bottle is nifty – tight lid – suspect safe in purse (fine in my cosmetics case!) Love the puffy sponge – I do swipe my finger over it to get to smaller areas. I don’t use primer – simply because it’s been terrific without it, but may test w/my beloved Lorac AquaPRIME… or with the Age Rewind’s primer (worth a try – far less costly than Lorac!) Tried the primer tester at the store: felt a LOT like Lancome’s T-Zone gel powder (a great product but not a primer in my book) so I’m sticking with Lorac primer for now (UTTERLY diff feel/product). NO oily feeling at all for me, altho’ a little creamier than a “liquid” (IMHO) so I’m not certain about other “oil/grease” comments. Have been using for about a week – full disclosure: over the age of 50, quite oily skin with mid-to-large pores and some redness areas. For further information please see my FTC Guidelines or my Disclosure/Disclaimer posts. Ok, but needs serious work on the formula.ĭo tell me how you feel about Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup.ĭisclosure: The following item was purchased by me for review purposes (and because I like flinging my money at makeup products of any kind) on Musings of a Muse. Larger pores, drier skin will maybe find it’s a great one. You might wanna try it out in store as they have testers available but I don’t think you can get a proper feel for it unless you have a face full of it on. Overall, I could probably lean towards loving this if it wasn’t for the strange oily formula, that was a total deal breaker for me. Coverage is about medium I’d say but you may be able to go heavier with proper build up. Now that’s actually the good news as those with larger pores may find that this fills pores as it covers…but me…I just felt it was terribly greasy and gross feeling. It almost feels as if the foundation has a built in primer of some sort. It slips and slides around my face as I apply and leaves behind an oily film. Flawless, bright, dewy….quite pretty really! However, I hate the formula. I really like the way this makes my skin look. I dunno about fine lines but maybe it’ll whisk those away too! On a note of the applicator, germs, and bacteria…from what I understand it’s been treated so you can simply wipe with a tissue after you’re done and have nary a worry about bacteria growing on it. It really does kinda work like a little eraser, whisking away dullness and brightening up the skin as it goes. You simply twist and click to get the foundation flowing into the applicator and away you go! I’m a hands on kinda girl and I normally use my fingers to blend out foundation but I generally liked using this applicator for application. The foundation comes housed in a chubby little bottle with a soft, fuzzy little ball applicator on top. On the note of aging…not sure I really need an age rewind foundation but hey you can never start to early right? This is saying something as I have a deep dislike for drugstore foundation. I’m currently having a love/hate relationship with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup myself. Well Jolie that’s not a great chore as I was liking the looks of it anyway! Jolie in Illinois wrote me recently and asked please could I review the new Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup.
